What is Summer Spark? An abbreviated summer singing opportunity for Westernaires. Four rehearsals over a couple of weeks to learn songs, followed by ~30 min performances at several assisted living and retirement centers.
Why Summer? A summer session was all ready to go and then the pandemic interrupted it. We're reconnecting with Westernaires who are in SCW during the summer months to check your interest!
How It Helps. Retirement Centers are inundated during the holidays with special groups. Summers are harder for them to fill. Providing musical entertainment for these neighbors is good for our community. For the choir, it's a great way to reawaken your voice if you've been on a singing hiatus especially before the Fall session kicks off.
