About the event
As of January 2 the 2025 budget has been approved by the Board with confirmation by the Chairs.
On the 9th, Russell will lead the club through the budget discussion and we will vote to ratify and formally approve or reject the budget. Attached you’ll find a summary of key change items. Budgets are guidelines providing direction for our 2025 activities.
Some key insights …
The budget ends the year with a positive net income and keeps dues at $15/pp.
The budget includes increasing the pay of our accompanists to be inline with payments to guest musicians.
We’ll bring Westernaires online. Includes the ability such as: pay using a credit card, accept donations, digitized library to the absolute delight of our director. Digitizing will make it easier to select music, track when it’s been used, etc.
We will add one additional matinee to the Fall / Christmas performance. Helps us meet demands by local assisted living centers. Our single matinee is the first show to sell out, usually within two weeks of tickets going on sale. Shows: Dec 12, 13, 15 @ 7pm; Dec 14, 16 @ 2pm.
Add the ability for people to donate to Westernaires as a 501(c)3 and benefit from the tax deduction.
January 9th we will be voting on the budget, Please review the budget conversation details and budget spreadsheet which was sent to all 2024 members via email on January 4th.
Looking Ahead
The second bi-annual meeting is schedule for Thursday, November 20, 2025 for the election of 2026 Officers. Here’s the plan:
Sept 04, 25: Election Schedule Announcement 2 Choir
Oct 02, 25: Solicit names of interested candidates
Oct 16, 25: Announce interested candidates
Nov 06, 25: Candidates opportunity to speak to choir (5 minutes)
Nov 20, 25: 2026 Officer Elections, Choir votes
